Synopsis

There’s nothing like a death bringing people from your past closer together.

Lenny (Adam Sandler) and his family attend the funeral of an old basketball coach and reunite with five friends from his childhood. Reminiscing on the times they’ve had, the group decide to spend the 4th of July together at the lake house they stayed in as children. As much as this film is about reuniting old friends, it’s about tackling the challenges in life that you experience as an adult. Because we all know that adulting is hard.

Each friend realises they in fact are not great at parenting, relationships, careers and life – but the moral of the story is that with friends you’re going to be okay.

Watch this mediocre film if… if you are feeling a little down and just want a simple mediocre film and pick-me-up to get through. You won’t need to think hard, just bring your comfort food, a pillow and snuggle in for an afternoon of brain numbing fun.
