Synopsis

If there’s one thing I love more than Vegemite on toast, it’s a B Grade Sci-Fi film and Jason Statham‘s hot accent. The Meg is like your other overly sized, over the top, sci-fi films. It brings a a few laughs, a bit of suspense and a sprinkle of surprise.

This film starts as diver, Jonas Taylor (Jason Statham), sights a big whooper of a creature in the midst of a rescue mission. Ending badly his claims of such a creature were continuously dismissed and blamed on psychosis from the event. That is until a curious pack of scientists started delving deeper into the ocean than any man has gone before.

In this film, curiosity doesn’t just kill the cat, it swallows it whole as more people decide encroach on The Meg’s territory. The Meg is a creature worth watching and certainly a favourite after Sharknado.

Watch this mediocre film if… You love B Grade Sci-Fi films and Jason Statham as much as me. This film is fun to watch – great for a Sunday afternoon with friends and a pack of popcorn or late at night with a joint. It will make you laugh and cringe all at the same time. The perfect antidote for a stressful day.
